Faculty and Staff

Faculty and Staff of TCU students are invited to contact our Center during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays) to discuss any relevant concerns about a student. Due to legal requirements, we cannot confirm or deny if a student is receiving our services without a signed release of information.

In addition, we do not have the authority to mandate that students seek our services. However, we can provide advice on how to approach a student in need and give information about possible referrals. If you are interested in speaking with a counselor, please call our office at 817-257-7863. If there is an emergency after hours, please call the Campus police at 817-257-7777 or dial 911.

Our staff also provides support and organized activities for classes dealing with special issues common in the college community. If you are interested in having someone from our Center present to your class, please contact Dr. Eric Wood at 817-257-7863 or at e.c.wood@tcu.edu. Our staff will make every attempt to meet your request. Please give at least two weeks notice for a presentation and assure that at least 10 participants will attend. If we are not able to meet your need, other resources can be suggested to you.

If you are interested in attending the suicideTalk, safeTAlk, or the ASIST training, please contact Dr. Monica Kintigh at 817-257-7863 or at m.kintigh@tcu.edu

A collection of information and self-help aids are available at our Center and on this website under the "resource" section. These resources include helpful suggestions for recognizing and helping students in distress. If you would like more information or wish to speak with a counselor, please call our office at 817-257-7863.
